Ethiopia Chelechele

This coffee comes from the Chelchele washing station, located in Chelchele village, Kochere district, Yirgacheffe region. Coffee in Ethiopia is usually grown on very small plots of land by farmers who also grow other crops. Most small producers take the coffee in the form of coffee cherries to a washing station or a nearby central processing unit, where the coffee is sorted, weighed and paid for. The coffee is then processed, usually by the washed or natural method, at the processing station, and is subsequently dried on raised drying beds.

Chelchele coffees tend to have a pleasant base of sweetness, with notes of caramel and nuts, overlaid with floral and citrus nuances.
