Ethiopia Taferi Kela decaf sugarcane

Ethiopia is produced by Bette Buna in Taferi Kela, Sidamo and goes through the sugarcane decaffeination process.
The green beans are steamed, then decaffeinated using a solution based on water and ethyl acetate obtained from sugarcane, which selectively extracts caffeine without significantly affecting the aromatic compounds.
After removing traces of ethyl acetate and drying the beans, the result is a decaffeinated coffee that largely retains the aromas, sweetness and complexity of the coffee of origin.

In the cup we find notes of orange and berries, which bring a fruity freshness and a pleasant acidity, complemented by caramel and milk chocolate, which give it sweetness and balance. Notes of hazelnut and cashew add a velvety texture and a slightly nutty character, and the finish is sweet and harmonious.
